The Medical Representatives Certification Commission, referred to as MRCC, is a private, not-for-profit certification company whose purpose is to establish national competency standards for medical representatives and validate those standards through certification examination. Medical representatives are those people who represent manufacturers and, as part of their usual and customary role, communicate with healthcare professionals for the purpose of providing educational content and promoting products. Founded in 2009, MRCC’s certification programs are designed to benefit patients, the healthcare community, and certificants’ employers by providing well researched standards of competency and ethical conduct and a continuously updated process of examination to ensure certificants meet those standards. == Mission and Vision == The mission of MRCC is to certify medical representatives who demonstrate proficiency in the professional competencies and ethical standards set forth by the Certification Commission. MRCC was created to improve patient outcomes by certifying the professional competency and ethical conduct of medical representatives and to increase the value of those certified professionals to healthcare providers.
